Maybe also a multi-part looping quest.

Example: There are too many wolves attacking livestock, go kill some. (The population constantly grows, so if you don't kill a bunch at once you don't really make progress in the mission).

Then... now that the wolves are less in number, theres to many rabbits and squirrels! Go kill them to save our crops!

Then... now that those pests are gone... there are too many weeds! Go pull the weeds so our crops can grow!

Then once you finish the weeds quest the wolf quest becomes available again. This is useful because it can be incorporated into other quests (ie, use the pelts/meat for other quests...)

Another idea for looping quest: Hunt poachers to protect endangered species or decide to become a poacher and go hunt the endangered species (and fight law enforcment in that area) and also same for smuggling operations.

I think smuggling should be quest and natural. For example, there could be illegal items that you can obtain that are commercial. You smuggle them from one planet to another and sell them at black markets. This could easily become a money making system. Also, player-cops could try and arrest these people or npc cops if they get too close.
But i like your ideas XD.

Know whats wierd. I played wow for 3 weeks, got to lvl 42 and my graphics card burned out. So by the time I bought a new card I didnt feel like playing it again because I feel I pretty much got my entire experience out of it. But we should take some ideas and points from it how it became successful and the biggest thing about it and any orpg map are ITEMS people love items and we need tons of them.

well what i was thinking that in Velani there is a item vender who sells small stuff like first aid and stuff. but he cant cause a small group of enemy's stole all his supplies from a truck that was suppose to deliver it to him. so u have to go find this group kill them and return with the supplies to be able to buy stuff from him ;)

Could do that, maybe have the supples on the ground near the wreckage and one last supply in the belly of some non hostile creature that ate it thinking it was food.
